Pakistan is a much bigger problem than North Korea.
For the last few weeks we have heard from all of the right wing politicans in the US that we are taking the wrong approach with North Korea. That the president should do this and do that. However, we have not heard them say anything about Pakistan.
Pakistan is on the verge of collapse. They signed a deal with the Taliban last week giving them control of Swat Valley. This created another safe haven for the Taliban. If that wasn’t bad enough they released the Iman of the Red Mosque. Who upon release called for Jihad. There are bombing in the streets everyday and the army seems powerless to stop any of this.
Why is the collapse of Pakistan, a problem. The are a Nuclear State and have the bomb. If the country falls what happens to the weapons. Better yet do you think that with the problems in the Kasmir, that India is going to sit by and let the Islamist get their hands on the Nuclear weapons. There is no way.
Why the government of pakistan thinks giving the Islamist control of these territories will cause them given up their dreams of Jihad i do not know. But it would be wise for the president of Pakistan to grow a pair and quick are he will be out of power very soon. If that happens you could see the beginning of Worfld War 3. I know many people would consider that a little crazy. But, do you honestly thing the west is going to sit back and let them get their hands on the nuclear weapons?
We are sitting on a powder keg waiting on a match. Therefore, all efforts must be made to prevent the collapse of Pakistan.
So we have to go defend the islamo-fascists in power in Afghanistand to prevent other islamo-fascists from gaining power. Becuase the bad guys the west is supporting now are so much better people than the other bad guys we use to support but traded in on the new ones.. Yeah, ok, right. we need to be at war.. Well thats seems to be what Mr. Obama wants us to believe. You know, personally I don’t trust anyone with nuclear weapons, but I hardly think of Pakistan as the place to draw the line. I think it more practical to start in Washington. Disarmement now and Washington needs to lead the way since they have the most of these WMDs
Well as far getting rid of those in the US, didn’t Obama state that he wanted to work on that.As far as drawing the line, who is a bigger threat to use a wmd? Think about. No where in my post did i say we need to be at war. However there are wars that need to be fought and those that don’t.
Yeah he wants to work on it and says its not going to happen during his presidency. Woo hoo. He is full of it. I am not of the opinion that any war needs to be fought. The US stood idle while Pakistan developed the bomb in the 1st place. I honestly believe Israel is the most likley sourse for a nuclear war. Its high time IAEA inspectors be allowed into Israeli facilities.
In the end its fire - powder keg with a match, volatile, inflamed with violence - whatever way you want to word it from Israel, to Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan, this is a really bad situation. Have you ever heard of Greg Mortenson? He is the only American to help the people of Pakistan.
